Coach Dee, a former multi-sport athlete, has been with Nemesis since its start in May 2022. She currently coaches at Mill Creek Middle School. Though shorter than many of the players, she is the team’s driving force, dedicated to nurturing each girl’s growth both as a player and as a person. She focuses on developing individual talents while fostering team unity. Her favorite drills involve bunting and base running.
Coach Dee emphasizes a “culture over roster” approach, leading to a winning culture that reflects in their records. She helped establish the #alwaysus mindset for Nemesis 2010, inspired by Alabama softball’s motto:
“Sometimes it’s me, sometimes it’s you, but it’s ALWAYS US.”

Coach Troy is an integral part of the Nemesis Fastpitch coaching staff. His dedication to each player shines through in everything he does—whether it’s a personalized word of encouragement, extra time spent on drills, or thoughtful strategies to enhance each girl’s development. Troy not only shows up to every practice but also understands the importance of meeting players where they are, helping them grow in both skill and confidence.
With a “goldfish memory” philosophy, he encourages players to quickly move past mistakes and focus on their next opportunity, channeling a bit of Ted Lasso’s famous optimism.

Travis has been coaching Softball for over a decade. Growing up around multiple sports, and coaching multiple sports, his love is to find more efficient ways to do any and everything. Saving 1/2 a second on a throw, positioning better, etc. is where he loves to shine. His love of coaching all sports came from his parents, and he see the real world application that sports will provide once the girls step off the diamond. He has a booming voice and lighthearted approach, and tries to make sure that girls are hitting high expectations for the team and themselves.

With a decade of coaching experience, Coach Mike Veloz focuses on fostering a positive mental approach to the game and developing a cohesive team from within. He takes pride in nurturing talent and building a strong foundation rather than simply joining an established winning program.
Outside of coaching, Coach enjoys woodworking and sports photography, capturing memorable moments for our team during tournaments. Above all, he cherishes his roles as a husband, father, and coach, dedicating his life to both his family and the sport he loves.

With a 15-year background in baseball and 12 years of coaching, Nic proudly upholds a family legacy spanning three generations of baseball and coaching. His primary goal is to pour into young athletes, supporting their growth both as athletes and individuals.
A family-oriented person, he values the memories made on and off the field. Beyond coaching, he has a deep passion for real estate investing, including land acquisition, renovations, and development. Committed to maintaining youthfulness, he also enjoys exploring health and nutrition to keep both body and mind at their best.
